Default question about fuel injection...

OK so I have a 1985 f150 efi.....my first efi vehicle. Electronic fuel injection is different vs Carb in the sense that if you have low compression or a slipping tranny, that it gives fuel for the speed you are going, ie unlike a carbed vehicle, so if you give more pedal it doesn't necessarily give the engine more gas due the the tps? Is this right? Thanks....

as far as I know in both fuel delivery set ups they deliver fuel when the throttle opens so the air and fuel mix at the correct rate. If electronic injection kept pumping fuel into the engine during the conditions you listed i believe the engine would eventually flood.
