Hey folks I've got a 85 f150 explorer
Now I've read that the explorers had a higher gear rear end did the explorers come with any kind of dif lock from the factory thanks

Find the 2 digit axle code on your door jamb sticker.
I think H something is limited slip. I had H9 in my '86 XLT (9" 3.55 LS)
I believe LS is the only thing offered as an option in the 80's
Google [Ford axle code] lots of charts online.

My 82 was a explorer and it had a 9" and it was a open rear end. Witch is what was in 95% of the f 150. Unless ordered different from the factory

I looked at Google for the codes and couldn't find mine its a H6 well I did find it and.I got a limited slip
