Prefered Oil Type
Hello, I am new here to this forum site. My name is Jason and I recently bought a 1982 Ford F150 XL 300 CID L6. I'm not sure what kind of maintenance has been done on it recently but I'm going to do a tune up, oil change and maybe flush the radiator. My question is, what kind of oil do you guys recommend with this older engine? Any kind of advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Any quality name-brand oil with the correct viscosity for the climate should be fine. Read this caption:

I wouldn't waste my money on any gimmick oils, like "high-mileage". Synthetic would also be a wa$te IMO. I use common oil, and my engine has nearly a million miles without a rebuild, and runs like-new.
