Pedal assembly bolt up question
My 86 F150 has an AOD that's just behaving strangely. I've never had much love for automatics as it is, and I'm considering just replacing it with a manual.
I'm pretty sure this truck would have come with the 4 speed if it were a manual, but I'd like to put in a ZF 5 speed out of the slightly newer years.
So, I'm looking around for parts I might need to get the job done. I came across a manual transmission pedal assembly out of an 89 F150. Does anybody know if these bolt in, or do I need to stick with a pedal assembly from my same generation?
Thanks!

you may find yu already have holes in fire wall for this. The pedal bracket assy will fit you may have to drill holes....but! there might be knock out pieces that match. Still will need bolts or studs.
Cool. I don't mind poking holes and buying bolts, as long as the firewall and underside of the dash from 86 to 89 isn't so drastically different as the pedal assembly simply is not going to fit.
