How bad is a oil pan gasket replacement on 84 f150 with 300 l6. When I bought the truck it leaked oil pretty bad changed oil and it quit now it's leaking again but only put about 500 miles on oil change figured I would start with oil pan.

 

It can be done in truck but its tricky. Harder in a 4x4. If you got a engine hoist its safer loosen motor mounts jack up the engine on a side using a floor jack and 2x4 pieces. Remember not to over tighten the pan cause you can make a leak by deforming the pan lip.
