Key Chime Disable / Wiring Diagram for 1984 F150
Hey guys! New to the forum here. I just picked up a wonderful 1984 F150 that needs a little TLC but purrs like a kitten once it's up and running. I've done a little bit a basic work getting it back to road-ready condition, but one thing that really bothers me that I haven't had a chance to figure out yet, is:
How do I get the 'key-in' alarm to turn off. Every time I put the key in and start it up that thing chimes pretty loud and it's a bit annoying. I'd rather re-wire that thing so that it chimes when the lights are on but the key is out, if that's possible.
Anyone have a quick solution or can send along a wire diagram?

If I remember right, when you first started those up, they chimed to remind you to do up your seatbelt. But I think that if you did your belt up before you started it, it wouldn't chime.
That was all around 84 anyway. Try that. If it works, maybe you can just mess with the wiring to your seatbelt.
