On the steering column in the cylinder where the key switch goes in there is a small indentation with a hole once you turn the key to on push a Allen wrench into the hole and lift out.

With the key in the on position. The bottom of the key should be pointed about 7 o'clock follow that line to where the cylinder housing meets the stearing coll. at that point the hole is small and easy to miss. I user a 1/8 inch allen wrench. I'll try to get a photo of mine for you
Here is the photo.
Hope this helps.

Not sure of year models, sometimes the plastic shroud has to be removed for access to the hole mentioned. If key in "on" position doesn't work for removal, try in the "acc." position.

A non tilt wheel will not have the indention to release the key switch. I hate to say this you will need to take your steering wheel off and a few other things to get to the key release. A Chilton manual will help you to get this done. I had to do this myself a few years ago.
