Default i need some serious help here

I was being retarded and took the wire off my electric choke, it slipped from my fingers and grounded out on the neg to the choke, it immediately killed my engine. I pulled the dash offand didn't see any burned up wires. I tried to start the truck now it will crank and fire up but won't stay running... What do I do next? Is it the ecm or something else? It's a 74 F100 ranger with a 390. I'm really dying for some help here, and where to go with this next...
