Default Help! Unknown manual lock hub

I am restoring my grandfathers 1979 F150. I am starting with rebuilding the front end with new bushings, shocks, brake pads, etc. The drivers side was no problem, but on the passenger side, it appears the standard lock mechanism was replaced somewhere along the way and I have no idea how to get it off so I can put a replacement one on. Attached is a picture of what I found when I took off the outer cover and lock. I am willing to research how to remove it if someone could just identify what year/make/model it is from. Any help is greatly appreciated! I do have some more pictures if they would be of any benefit. I can't get the cover to turn or move by hand and it was already stuck in the lock position.

It looks like you've removed the "C" clip from the axle stub. Have you pulled the flat locking spring? It sets in a groove on the outer edge of the hub. If you've removed both locks, then its probably being held by old grease, dirt, and rust. You may have to make a pair of hooks to get it out.

Thumbs up Hammer fix

I had removed it, you were both right, it was jammed. The inner gear was stuck because the teeth had been messed up (which explains why that side wouldn't unlock) and the spring was jammed behind it with dirt. I took the largest socket I had, gave it about 5 whacks with the hammer and it knocked everything loose so I could take the outer ring and spring out, then I filed the edge of the teeth on the axle and got the inner gear out. Turns out my grandpa had replaced that side with the hub from an early 80s truck. Thanks for the help!
