Default Help! No start

Working on a 86 f250 460 auto. It wont start. All that happens when you turn the key is the alarms go off and the emisions light comes on. Healights wont even come on. Doesnt even act like its trying to turn over. Radio only came on once. Is it a dead battery? Cant figure it out.

If I were to venture a wild guess maybe... I would say...... the battery.
Charge it up and check the connections then go from there....

Your transmission is probably not in Park or Neutral so it won't start. Problem could be at the column or at the transmission or the link between.
I once had the shift lever break off my transmission several hundred miles from home. Had to crawl under my truck move the lever by hand every time I needed to shift....
