heater removal
I got a 79 f150 with a 351m in it and I want to permanently remove the heater blower motor and core from the truck and don't know where to start any tips would be helpful.
Well start by removing the inlet/outlet water lines from the water pump.. youll have to block those off and so you dont lose water when the motor runs. Then remove them from the box on the fire wall. Then the black box come off with a few bolt and clips. Then you can remove the heater core.
When you block off then in/outlet from thr water pump use strong rubber and hose clamps because is you get cranking hard enough youll pop them off
Also I have a 86 pulling truck. Thats all its used from pulling dead sleds. I keep the heater in service because I some times I start over heating and I turn it off for a little extra cooling

Unless you have a valid reason for removing it, leave it in.
