Default Help, Heads and cam

I have a 1984 351w h.o. bored .30 over and im looking to replace the heads and cam. Looking for any help on suggestions. It's going in an 84 f150 4x4. I'm looking for a nice "chop" from the cam. And heads I'm looking for the best option to price ratio.

I did some research on this once. Have you looked at the GT40 and GT40p heads? They flow better than stock and supposedly able to be picked up cheap from the junkyard.

Of course there's no substitute for aftermarket heads.

What are you looking to get out of the truck. That's the most important question. Normally the choppy thumping cams are sound cams. It want a good cam that gives you a strong bottom end and still keep your top end you want to go the RV route. You might be satisfied with just that up grade. But if you still want to go with heads you really need to figure out what kind of power you really want start making. Because awesome heads are worthless with out lungs
