Default Header advice

Looking for advice on where to start with the 76 F150 with a 360. Would like to add headers, intake and new carb eventually. Truck runs fine now, would like a little more efficiency (and power). Curious which to start with, was thinking of headers first. Fixing a few small bed holes in the coming weeks, will post pics as I get going. Any advice on where to start appreciated!

I would start with the intake and carb, put on headers when you can do the full exhaust, duals of course. You should be able to get better mileage with a 4bbl than a 2bbl if you can keep your foot light.

Thanks for feedback. Open to suggestions on carb and intake. Not a racer, truck primarily weekend driver for hauling house / yard projects. Any advice appreciated!

Edlebrock 4bbl and holley carb. Size of carb would depend on engine, ie heads and cam. You will need to decide how big you want to go. Too big of a carb and you will run rich, loss of power, not big enough and you don't get the full potential of the motor. Can't be much help as far as numbers. I have an edlebrock performer intake and edlebrock 650cfm (if I remember right) on my 302 68 cougar. I wish I would have put a Holley on. The 650 is a little much for the stock motor. Headman headers, flowmaster and duals. Helped it from stock quite a bit. I would suggest you find an engine builder and pick their brain. They should be more than helpful if they think they will get some business.

dont know what youve got to spend but heres a comple dual exhaust w/1 3/4 longtubes from summit $320.00
put some header wrap on those headers and you'll be good to go.
