Default hard to start when warm

Howdy folks. I have a 79 f150 custom with a 351 modified. I put a new edelbrock 600 with an electronic choke on it the other day. Starts right up when its cold, and idles perfectly. Once i drive it around for a bit and shut it off, it's really hard to start again. I have to crank it over quite a bit, then it finally fires up.just wondering if anybody out here has experienced the same problem, and what solutions they found if so.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

My truck has same the problem, The only thing i do is just dry start it. No pumping of the throttle. I was told if I were to switch to an manual choke it would cure the problem, I was told this to me by my dad, and papa.
