got some fuel problems need some troubleshooting
hey guys i got an 85 150 an its ben converted to carb, im not gettting any fuel, still got the stock electric fuel pump an the mr. gaskets fuel pump but for some reason im not gettin any fuel, just for the record i got the truck for 250$ an i didnt do anyyyyyy thing to it lol if you guys can point me in the right direction that would be awesome
What engine? Dual tanks or single?
Are you saying it was EFI which was converted to carb? Did the PO ever have it running or just half done? The entire electrical system (computer sensors etc) would have been replaced. The entire fuel system would have been replaced.
The original EFI has low pressure fuel pumps in the tank(s) and a high pressure fuel pump on the frame rail. Not sure if the HPFP would be suitable on the carb? EFI was only available on the 302 (5.0l) at the time.

302 carb in it now was a 302 efi, front tank was taken out only has the rear tank, confusing thing is that it was pushing fuel about 2 days ago, then randomly it stopped (yes there is gas in it) an i was considering running carb fuel everything even putting in a mechanical pump, but its just werid that 1 day its getting fuel an the next its not
few things you can do... first off make sure all hoses are at the proper ports, check all the fuel lines sometimes they get gunked up, see if fuel pumps are pulling ( if not get some from like autozone cheap or something), take carb off might be gunked up from sitting some times that happens(if so pull carb off and spray it with carb cleaner usually takes a whole can and use a wrag to whip it down) pay attention to where everything goes for when you put it back together it will save a lot of busted knuckles
