Default getting the bugs out

I have an 85 short bed that came with a 300 manual on the column. I found 302 and had a friend offer a C6 so we dropped that in. The motor had points and condenser so took that out and found a electronic distributor out of an 86 with the module mounted on the fender. While running down the road the engine will hiccup and keep on going. I'm worried it stop and leave me. I think it's electrical, checked for loose wire could the module be causing the momentary loss of ignition?

my 83 had a similar issue and it turned out to be the module--its a 40 dollar part, if youve checked the rest of the ignition system (including cleaning your grounds) its worth swapping it, IMHO
