Default gas tank?

im having to get a new gas tank and they asked at auto zone if its one size or another, my truck came with 2 gas tanks, the rear was missing and the front isnt no good. Can anyone tell me what size it is, its a 84 f-150 300ci 4x4

I had a look at the Autozone web site. That's where I got my rear tank.

Front tank:
Looks like it is 16 gallon for the short-bed and 19 gallons for the long-bed trucks. Go to the autozone site and look at the pictures and dimensions and compare to what you have.

Rear tank:
19 gallons was standard. You can get the 38 gallon but you must relocate the spare tire somewhere else and modify the sending unit.

Note that the sending units do not come with the tanks.
Also look at the condition of the straps on your old tank.
