Fuel System Malfunction.
Good morning!
Now I`m getting a little confused....found my fuel lines and the fuel filter, which I already replaced, but I absolutely can`t find any hint of a valve...
The only thing I can spot is three Y - shaped connections, one routing to the fuel filter, so this is the fuel line feeding my Chuck, the second one is of the same size/diameter, maybe the return line? The third one is a little wider in dia., haven`t measured, so I can`t say exactly of which size they are.
Could the third one be the vapor hose???
So, when there`s those Y - shaped connectors, guess there can`t be a valve since this makes no sense, since both tanks are already routed into one feeding hose, at least to me?
Please let me know if I`m wrong!
And yes, it is a 4 x 4, but those Y- connectors are located aside the front tank in the frame rail, all three side by side, maybe half of an inch offset to each other.
Thanks,

I am thinking that later model Fords may be using a simple check valve system rather than an actual switching valve? The check valves could be near or inside the tanks or even built into the pumps themselves?
My tanks do have a small diameter, (like vacuum hose size), vapor lines going to a check valve on the top center of each tank.
The main fuel line is 3/8" and the return lines are 5/16"

Yup, could roughly be the size here... I`ll know when I have the tanks out, but this will take a lttle while...too many projects, too few time and with a 60 - 70 hour week at work, well......
I`ll come back as soon as I know more, again: MANY THANKS FOR YOUR HELP & TIME!!!

Ingo

This is the valve under the door behind/inside the frame, check out http://i608.photobucket.com/albums/t...ordfuelres.jpg this is its picture, you should have a dual switch by the heater to flip tanks selection. If you can't open picture it is from thread in the forum in 2007
