Default Frame swap question

Hello everyone,

I am new to these forums so I apologise if this is in the wrong section. I live in the florida panhandle and over the past few years have been restoring a 1986 Ford step side. However, due to the storm a large tree fell on the completed frame that was powder coated and everything. I'm wondering if a 1989 frame will fit the 1986 body. Thanks if anyone can assist.

Yes. The only difference (given the same wheelbase) is the slots in the front frame horns for the later bumper.

Steve, the attachment you posted is for a bronco, correct me if I'm wrong but broncos have a shorter frame than the f150s. Is that correct?

Wheelbase is different - and I said you have to get the same wheelbase as your original truck. Everything else in the caption of that diagram applies to F-series frames. Follow the relevant links in the caption, too.
