Floor shift BACK to column shift question
I'm currently looking for a pre 1980 F100 with the old 300 six cylinder and three speed transmission. I owned a few of these trucks, along with old C-10's, back in the 70's, and I'm looking forward to the simplicity of these old trucks again. I very much prefer to have the original configuration of the three speed shifter on the column. A lot of trucks that I find, someone along the way has changed it from a column shift to a stick shift on the floor. Besides removing the shift linkage from the floor and covering the hole in the floorboard, what all else is involved in reverting back to the original configuration?
Thanks y'all.
