Default F100s

Who all has the older Fords, back when a 1/2 ton was labeled F100 not F150........
I lucked out, I found this old Ford sittin up and I asked about it. The man said he wanted to get the tires off it because he had just bought them before it quit. I said that was fine. Well 4 months went by and I had not thought much more about the truck then last month he called and said if I still wanted that old truck to come get it. I explained that I was broke and he said he didn't want nothin for it, just get it out of his yard and he would sign the title for me.
I got my dad to pull it to his house until I could get the title changed over and borrow a trailer. The 1973 Ford F100 is pretty straight exceptfor the bed floor which is totally gone.....you can see the rearend frame bed ribs......its gone, then either the left head iscracked or the gasket is blown, the shift colomn is broke, and the driver vent glass is messed up.
But for FREE its all good. Now I have a new project.

cool. this my 3rd old ford. I had a 78 that had been swapped to a 350 ols with a auto trans then I had a 77 that had been swapped to a 289 with a 3 speed that had been swapped to the floor. This 73 has a 302 out of a 80 somethin car and I am gonna swap it to floor shift, I would like to find a 5 speed that would work or atleast a 4 speed.
First I gotta get it running.

well I hope this one ends up better than my other 2, the 78 had an incodent with my roommate.....jumped out of gear with the throttle stuck and he slapped it back in drive which sheered the main bearing, busted the torque converter and shattered the rearend gears, he found me a 84 dodge to replace my ford......the 77 had it super rough my x wrecked it folded the front fenders like a banana when she hit a ditch fixed that then I got ran off the road into a slew busted my grill, then one night the exhaust finished rusting and fell off infront of a state trooper (never good to happen) and a week later the brakes gave out I hit a ditch managed to back out but broke a tranny mount in the process so I sold it figuring it was jinxed.
luckily I have grown up a lot since then lol this old ford is gonna be babied

I'll post some when I get around an internet connection with my laptop. Shes pretty straight except for that bed floor. I was told the truck was sittin up and full of leaves and garbage b4 my dads neighbor got it, he just got it runnin and drove it for 8 years. He runs long hauls cross country so he is not home much so never fixed the bed.
