Engine ID please
It is a windsor so it can only be a 302 or 351
A quick search shows they used 300 -6 cyls in them so yea a 302 isnt a stretch.
A 1 ton truck is about carrying weight, and gears to get it moving, dont always need a big block for that.

Not saying what it is, cant see enough detail in the pictures.

I was told its a f350 (and i honestly think this one may be a camper special or something.) and I know those didnt come US made with a 302 or 351 in 1975, then this whole 11 character vin thing I cant find any other truck with those first three characters. None of this is matching up .
Not doubting what youre saying its just that this is very strange that there isnt really a way to trace the vin on the truck to answer this .
Unless it wasnt made in the US ? Id have no idea how to trace that if so,

I found that they did come with either installed. Whether yours was swapped out who knows.
I concluded it is a windsor small block by searching "1975 Ford 302 and 351 engine ID". The thermostat housing location, oil filter location and distributor all prove it.
The thing I cant see, as shown in the drawing I posted, is which one is it. The 351 had a longer stroke so the deck is higher, so more space above the water pump port. I cant see the parting line between the head and block in the picture but my guess is 302.
A picture of the rear and springs will confirm if it's a F350, it will have a dana 60 or 70 rear axle and a huge spring pack compared to a f150. It may even have the original 16.5 inch split rim wheels.
Look for an aluminum id plate in the drivers door jamb. There should also be a vin plate at the bottom of the windshield, drivers side. Are you even sure its a 75? Title or registration?
Is it a 4x4? 4 speed? Divorced transfer case?

The truck was abandoned there as is. The dash and instrument panels are still in very good shape

the truck is not complete and the rest of it is rotten i will get a closer look at the transmission but there is nothing on the windshield and only the tag that they painted over in the door. I have done one of those bumper reports on the vin and it came back as a 1976 ford "custom" but nothing else . it is very strange the report did say it was 4x4.

They put 302's in those old F350s
That was my first guess anyway, but they look basically the same from a distance
The 7.5s have a big crank balance weight that is separate from the damper itself
It is the front crank seal surface combo damper weight
A 5.0 or 5.8 will not have that separate weight, and will have its weight built into the malleable iron inertia ring

Right
It looks like a 302 to me
That vin does not make sense to me
My 69 vin number starts with 9F02G meaning 1969 11 characters I think
!981 and newer IIRR have 17 characters
Check the one on the dash or the door plate

Would this 302 be in any way useful to my efi 302s in my 91 and 93 ? the 70s trucks are a bit before my time ive never really messed with them ?
