Default Duraspark II without High Performance

Is it possible to switch over to Duraspark II without going with High Performance Parts. When I google duraspark, not much comes up except for the stuff from Classic Inlines. They want like $400 for all the components to have a high performance duraspark, but I have a 300 I6, so I'm not worried about high performance, but am interested in going with nonfeedback carburator and having a distributor without the module. Can I just go to a parts store and picke up these parts? What would I ask for?? Please help a newbie.

I would go to a junk yard, look for a nice looking wreck, and rape and pillage every ignition part you need. Probably get everything for a hundred or two.

I believe duraspark II was in the 80-86 models, correct?

I'm guessing you would need the ignition module, distributer, pcm, regulator, coil etc.
