Default Driveshaft problem?

So, I after two years of being parked, I got my ‘79 F150 4wd running. After moving it into my new shop, I decided to crawl underneath and see what things looked like. I am a newbie at this sort of thing, but other than a leaky rear end and transmission/transfer case leak, mostly looked ok to me. But, I also saw this, which did not look right to me……

Is the problem that my driveshaft is too short, or is the “sleeve” from the u-joint that mates with the splines on the driveshaft too short? Not sure what would cause this……perhaps the lift that was put on the truck? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Correct, it is the lift
The splines should be okay like that
It is only pulled out about an inch and a half, and there are 3 or 4 inches of travel
