Default Computer controlled?

I have 1986 f150 5.8l with carberator. The truck has a fender mounted ignition control module. Is it a duraspark 2 or 3? Is this truck also EEC IV controlled or not? Trying to buy some ignition parts. thanks

If the grommet where the wires exit the module are brown, that would be a DS 3 system with the EEC 3 system. I believe they were California only and used during 1981-83. DS 2 modules would have a blue or yellow grommet.In 1986 there should be a blue grommetted Durospark 2 on your truck.
