Default clutch issue

finally got my truck runnin and i find out today my new slave cylinder is busted. i got a new bracket for the tranny mount and a new clip but it still broke. what my problem is when i press the clutch in the slave cylinder will extend out but the shift fork wants to push straight down insted of sraight out. the fork goes straight down in such an angle it brakes the slave cylinder so ill list what i used in the swap from a 300 to a 302. i have an 86 f150 orig. a 300 with a t18 i got from a 78 f150. i put in a 302 from a 77 f150. from the 77 i reused the cluch pressure plate fly wheel through out bearing and starter, i reused the shift fork and bell housing from the 86 300 every thing went together fine but now since the cylinder broke the shift fork sits really loose in the bell housing. i did notice that the pressure plate from the 77 has like 3 or 4 fingers and the pressure late from the 86 had alot more. would a 302 pressure plate from an 86 have more teeth could this be my prob. please help

my shift fork would not go straight back like it should it would just kick straight twords the ground and pinch the slave cylinder and break it but when the 302 was out of the truck i was replacing the oil pan gasket and my buddy was putting the pressure plate on the motor and descided to use a halfinch impact gun and did not inform me now its all locked up
