carb question

Default carb question

im lookin to get a new carb for my 1984 f150. 4.9l. the tag on the carb says motorcraft 34te a 3 l i5. its a one barrell. i have no idea what that means and i called the parts store and they didnt know either. so i just wanted to see if anyone out there could help. thanks

I'm pretty sure that the Ford part no. starts with E which decodes as 84 Truck carb, so tell the guy or gal at the parts store that you need a 1 bbl carb for a 1984 F150 with the Inline 6 some of them at the parts stores don't know how to cross reference that number even though it states the numbers below it on the screen(at least they do here), also try Rockauto.com just to see if you can get it cheaper through them.
