brakes lines getting hot and glowing need help
I got a 85 bronco and on my way home yesterday i took a sharp turn and the battery positive grounded to the metal and lost all power. i didnt know what happend so when i popped the hood the 2 metal wires going to the master cylinder were glowing cause they were so hot. so i got a new battery and all works fine but i aint got brakes any suggestions need help. thanks
if your lines were glowing, then the fluid was WAY past boiling...which can cause the fluid to vaporize and cause air bubles, fluid build up.
Master cylinders are cheap and easy to replace...the brake lines can be easy too, just takes time to bend them up (the right way). I would guess your out about a bill and a half, maybe two depending on the cost of lines.
Check your alt. too!!
