Default Blowing fuses...

recently bought a 1985 f150, and as one will guess the radio wiring has been butchered.... I have recently added the factory clock with the correct wiring harness and have tried to wire up the radio based on what i have found poking around in the salvage yards, I have 2 wire bundles/ harnesses, one is a set of 3 which i assume are the power, illumination, and memory for the radio, the other bundle I know are speakers with a set of 5 wires, what would the 5th wire go to? is that a ground?...

Since installing the radio, i consistently blow the fuse for my gauges and the dashboard does not light up when the headlights are on. Any thoughts on this? Or can someone point me to a wire diagram for the dashboard/ radio wiring system?

Thanks much in advance for your time and thoughts.

Thank you very much, will go and peek back at it in the morning to see what i may have done wrong..

I did make a major boo boo, i had wired the illumination wire to the radio ground... I have wired nutted that off since the Sony radio does not have a illumination wire, so now the clock dims with the headleights on and I don't seem to be blowing the fuse anymore..I think I may have fried the headlight switch....

Again thanks for the info!!!!
