1980 302 v8,
accordion looking wide plastic hose going to air filter is cracked in a few places and not fitting well, will this effect my engine performance and if so what is best for a replacement??

My 300 i6 has the same thing with the same cracks. The only thing changing is where your air is coming from. With no cracks, all air to the engine comes from the outside, but with cracks some hot, dirty air from under the hood is pulled into the engine. If you drive on extremely dusty roads, this can clog your air filter, reducing power. Unless you live in a desert, I wouldn't worry about it. Heck, some guys on here have intakes that are open only to under the hood. (custom)

If you are referring to the dryer vent looking hose that comes off the exhaust, autozone sells it as a preheater hose for 7 bucks.
