Hello everyone,
New to the page and just looking for any tips and tricks people would like to share for my newly acquired 77' F-150 with a 351M&C6 Tranny. Currently non running as i believe the carb is wrong. It idles incredibly rich, the when put into any moving gear, it dies out. I assume that it's over jetted and its just drowning in fuel, but the guy i bought it from can't provide me any information on the current Carb. Any suggestions and what i should get or look into for that scenario? Also looking for suggestions for tires that are generally good. This has passenger tires on it, but is really built to haul with overload springs and a hitch. Purchased from a friend for $500. pretty straight and clean with only minor rust that could easily be taken care of. New interior with a bench seat from an 89'. Like i said in the beginning, just any general tips or tricks or anything you wish to share is greatly appreciated! I'm new to the truck scene so anything helps, even if you might think its minor.

Thanks in advance,

MTC

Check the choke pull off for proper operation.

Is it a 2 or 4 barrel? Can you smell gas? Your choke may be stuck shut, does it have manual or electric choke?
