Hello, so I just bought an 1985 F150 4x4. While I was heading back home it started to flicker head lights. And I mean it's all the lights outside. It will go out for like 10 seconds and then come back on. Sometimes it does that like every 30 sec other times it does it after like 30 min of driving. If anyone had the same problem can suggest a fix? Only thing I can think of is a short somewhere.

 

Its probably a bad connection some where. You just need to go everything for the lights. Plugs and grounds. Clean all the grounds good. Also check your switch in your dash

 

Word of the day is "Grrounds" can't say grounds enough.I spent all last summer chasing grounds all over my 82 f-150 302v8.I sanded all ground locations to bare metal as well as all light connectors(the toungs with sand paper.My lights no longer flicker.All these old trucks are exactly that old and thigs oxidize a lot over the years.Grounds sir grounds and connections.
