Got an 83 F150 Trying to figure out how the dual tanks function on this truck? Do these trucks have the same issue the newer ones had with switching tanks. The 92 I had would pull from one tank and fill the other. I'm not sure this one is doing that or not since I can't really fill the front tank just yet due to a filler neck leak. Just seems its going thru a lot of fuel even with a 351M in it. Not sure if this one even has a fuel return since someone dropped the 351m in where a 300 used to be so the switching may not be the issue and it may just be hungry

 

For an 83 there should be no return especially comming with a 300. As far as i know it should draw from each tank depending on which the switch is on. If you have the granny tranny with that 351 its gonna suck gas. I get 10-13 with mine.

 

Ok cool thanks Just not familiar with these truck yet. Trucks got a C-6 in it so guess I'll go on with accepting the mileage lol
