i have an 1982 ford f150 xlt lariat,i noticed my tilt steering wasnt holding up anymore so i tore it apart an i took out a piece looks like a J with 6 teeth on it,i think this is what the tilt operates from.Well its wore out after much looking i have been unable to find a replacement part ...any one have any idea where i can find parts for the tilt an what is the name of the pieces of the tilt steering area,thanks for any help i can get

This place in NY sells rebuilt columns with core exchange OR will rebuild your column for a fee + parts. I think they sell parts as well.
