Ok iv been screwing with this thing for 2 days now and i gave up and came on here..

i have a 1979 F-150 Custom with a Automatic 400 6.6/C6 trans 4x4

The starter Cranks like normal it has spark in plugs&wires
its getting Fuel and Carb is clean and wires are were there supposed to be and Compressions good. and Vaccum lines are good. i have put new Plug wires new plugs new starter new battery new cylinoid New Coil

but it wont start. and im getting stumped on what the problem is..

idk if its the Dizzy or its something else.

Edit... IT did Run before i Swapped out the transmissionsafter ui got the trans swapped and everything it wont run

Is it flooding? Does it miss fire (backfire throught the carb)? Just turn over and not even try to start? Have you tried starting fluid to see if it is firing correctly with everyting installed? How is the timming?
Have you check the cap and rotor? Just throwing Ideas hope they help.

Mine did the same thing right after i bought it. My problem was the MSD pickup coil in the distributer. Msd wanted 125 for the pickup so i got on summit and bought a two wire distibuter and put in fires right up everytime, and i did away with all my Ford ignition system.

See it Started before i did a put a new transmission in but the old transmission had a neutral/Park Safety switch in it.. but the NEW one i put in dont and The carb/plugs arent back firing i turn the key the motor turns like it should and doesnt fire up.

now when i installed my Hooker Headers i unplugged the plug wires from the Dizzy and the plugs...
how to i check if the timing is off set from the original dizzy cap?
