76 ford,,neeed help!

Default 76 ford,,neeed help!

I have a 1976 F250 with a 390 in it. my problem is at night time when the lights are on everytime i accelerate the lights brighten. all the lights from the license plate lights to the headlights to the cablights. so its like alll the lights are dim until i hit the gas, I changed the alternator, new battery i have no idea what to do to fix this. PLEASE HELP!?

Replace the voltage regulator. $12.00 and 5 minutes of your time and all will be well.

Would that affect the starting of the truck at all? sometimes it acts like a dead battery after its ran for awhile .

yes the battery may not be getting charged...what is the volt guage reading?

voltage looks good but i dont trust that so it could affect it then? i hope it solves both of my problems...
