Default 75 high boy!!!

so i just started a project and it hasnt ran in awile. i drained the tank and added some fresh gas and then primed the carb with some gas. it fired right up but when i shut it off it wont restart unless i spray a little gas in the carb. then it fires up and runs. so is it a weak fuel pump of what? also its hard to get it to ilde...thats what makes me think fuel pump because more rpm keeps the motor running. any help would be appreciated!!

Possibly a automatic choke problem or maybe need to clean the carb

it might just be a ditry fuel line run some seafoam or other fuel cleaner in the tank see if that helps. if not you might need to rebuild the carb or adjust the floats

I would clean as much as possible and leave the fuel pump as a last resort.
