Default 400 oil pressure issue

First off, I haven't ran a mechanical gauge yet so i'll be trying that. My 78 400 is apparently like all the rest with great oil pressure until it gets hot. Then there's 0 on the gauge at idle and not much over that at cruising speed. There's no noise from the lifters or any other part of the engine and i just changed the oil (10w-30) and filter. Truck has 112k on it

My 2 questions are-
1 is there a way to improve the pressure without tearing into the engine? I've already emailed tim Meyers to get info
2 Let's just say when I changed the oil I hadn't heard that you prefil the filter yet. As long as the dip stick is showing the correct fill level am i good or is there some specific reason to pre fil the filter then fill the truck

thanks guys

Ive never pre-filled the filter on anything and ive never heard of ppl doin it around here. And im thinkin your probably gonna have to get a high pressure oil pump to bring it up a lot, the ole fords always had really low oil pressure. Since it goes down to 0 i would change it pretty quick
