Default 360 into a 390?

Not really sure but the little bit of research I've done tells me I can rebuild my stock 360 and make it into a 390 just by changing out the crank. Is this true? I also have the option of pulling the 360 altogether and putting in a 351 but it's a clevland.... any thoughts. I just want something to drive trouble free don't need to burn the tires off at every start,(although that is for fun). Whatever I put in will be mated to a 4 speed standard. Looking forward to everyone's input. Thanks.

The 360 and 390 are FE blocks while the Cleavland is a 385 bell housing, to switch from the FE to 385 needs a new bell housing, luckily Ford tends to use the same tranny with different engine combo's so finding a bellhousing won't be difficult. The cleaveland will give better fuel mileage becuase it weighs less.
