Default .302 engine upgrade advice

I have an orginal .302 with 4 on the floor "I think the TOD 4speed"

Anyways I was just thinking some light like the intake and headers and carburetor, and I was also wondering if that all would even do any good.

Long tubes and a big 4bbl would do good. Not sure how much you are wanting to spend though. I loved my old one with a Holley on it. Never did change the exhaust though. Had a y to single 3" straight pipe out the back. There's a lot of newer upgrades for these engines now. Good luck.

Depends how much you keep your foot out of it. Lol. Probably 75% of mileage is operator. The other 25% would be tune up, upgrades, and area driven. You can adjust a 4bbl to get better mileage while still getting a power bump. I had mine running on the rich side because I was young and stupid......plus gas was only $.88 a gallon when I had my 73 flatbed. Lol.

If your truck is well maintained and you don't have too much oversized tires from stock, you should still be getting good mileage. Although it sounds as if you are getting really good mileage as is.

I would recommend shorty headers so you don't put too much heat on your starter. As far as gas milage goes , who care it's a 4x4 and no one driving a 4x4 can expect to get milage other wise you need a Kia lol.
