No I did not. Since they day that I posted about were it happened four times, it has only happened once. Yesterday actually. I'm still at a lost as to why it happens of course. This time it happened at 45mph after a right hand turn. The only thing I can think of is fuel delivery. The lights don't go out when it happens and I can turn the key and the starter works immediately (even if the motor doesn't start as fast), so I assume its not a loss of electrical power.
Is it possible that after a turn on a low tank the fuel line gets a section of air in that causes the engine to die when it reaches the carb? The fuel tank is a bit funky anyway. The PO removed the side tank, cut the lines, ran new lines. And the fuel gauge shows 1/4 tank when I've only used 5 gallons.

Actually yes, the pump shuts off almost immediately. I've been having to fill it up like my motorcycle, holding it out and just barely touching the fill hole slowly giving gas and letting off gas as it builds up in the filler neck.

Ok...Are there any emission control systems on this truck ? If so, is it 49 state emissions or California ?

Take as many wide shot pics of the engine compartment as you feel necessary and post them. I'm looking for things like a charcoal canister (passenger inner fender well area), etc. If you are comfortable with it, PM Me with the VIN and a pic of the cert label in the driver's side door jamb and I can decode it for more info.

Emissions
The reason I ask about emissions is that after so many years, some states no longer require testing so owners remove them. My truck came from South Carolina which didn't require it to have emission controls given it's age and the previous owner removed them.

ALL THE ENGINE BAY PHOTOS!!!!
Trying to clean off all that tree sap.
Can barely see it in the above pic but I love that battery disconnect.
It came from Alabama, no emissions. And here in TN they just did a gas cap vacuum test and a tailpipe emissions check. Both it passed.
On an unrelated note
This bugger was leaking gasoline when I went take those photos, replaced the rubber line with another that I typically use for draining radiators (cleaned with alcohol first). Is it some kind of fuel filter?

That last picture looks like a mechanical fuel pump.
