1986 tach question

Default 1986 tach question

hey does anyone know if i can put a tachometer in my automatic? if so how hard is it?

Not that hard to do. There are many many to choose from. Do a web search and look at installation instructions. Usually there are just 4 wires- 12V power, ground, a wire to coil, and a wire connected to the dash lights.

BTW My '86 has a factory tach in the dash and it is automatic. Do you not have one or is it broken?

I just took it apart cleaned it and repainted all the needles, od reads 86,XXX 85 mph speedo

find a tach dash, already wired for it ,just plugs in like my 80 model
