Default 1986 f150 fuel pump rewiring

I've tested fuel pump with battery fuel pump works like it should but is not priming , bought new relay it's not clicking, so my conclusion is faulty wiring somewhere and I don't wanna go through the pain and try to find that wire in a 30 year old truck, I was wondering what are the exact wires and etc to wire fuel pump directly to battery with a toggle switch don't know a lot about rewiring stuff so any help is appreciated!

What engine do you have ?

1 or 2 Tanks ?

Are you familiar with the OBD1 test connector ?

That's not a logical conclusion. You haven't done enough diagnosis to eliminate all other causes. The most-likely is that the EEC isn't turning the FP relay on. Look inside the EEC for leaking capacitors.

Considering how few wires there are in a 30 year old truck compared to a modern one, it would be relatively easy. MUCH easier than building new circuits to try to do what you're describing.

And that assumes that your guess was right. I don't think it is.
