1986 f150 351w idling problem
So I recently just bought a 1986 f150 with a 351w. I am new to this truck and absolutely love it. When I start the truck up, the Rpms will go up and then slowly decrease resulting in the truck dying.
I took a look at the fuel filter and saw that it was clean and in good shape. Ive heard these trucks have two fuel filters, I could be wrong though, but I couldn't locate it. If anyone has any suggestions or fixes I would greatly appreciate it!
thanks

There is supposed to be one in the bottom of the fuel divertor, the bowl comes off with a standard filter strap wrench. I ordered a replacement for mine just to find out it didn't fit due to the pickup tube being too long and there are no other options available. I wound up cleaning out the bowl and re-assembling the unit without a filter.
Also consider adding a generic in line filter.
Read my post about '86 fuel problems, sounds eerily similar.
