Question 1986 efi help plz

i have a 86 5.0 engine. note b4 i did this it was a fine running truck.... a few weeks ago i changed my cap button wires and plugs.. i put everything in and had my lil cuz put the wires on the cap.. well long to short he messed up the fireing order and when i truned it over it back fired and wouldnt run.. so i redid the wires and now it is seeming to be over fuleing... i have checked timing and it has not jumped plz help

You may have to replace the plugs if you soaked them in fuel when it was cross wired. Also you did gap them when you put them in? It may sound like a dumb question but you would be surprised how many people don't.

Maybe a fuel injector got fouled by the backfire and is stuck open?

Is the vacuum line to the MAP sensor in tact and connected? Is the #1 plug wire going to the tower marked #1 (on dist cap)?

vac to map is good, pulled plugs and cleaned them gaped yes,
