Hello! My name is Emmet and I have recently joined this forum because I have a 1985 f150 project that I need to get running after My 1990 thunderbird was rear-ended and I’ve been driving a gas chugging 04 Lincoln aviator. Back to the truck: it’s a 1985 f150 XLT lariat 4WD single cab long bed. I can’t determine the engine size for the life of me sadly so I can’t provide that. Anyways I’m certain that the fuel pump in the side tank is the reason it won’t start and I’m waiting for a good day up here in Montana to replace it and also clean the tank but the main reason I’m here is that after looking and messing around in the engine compartment for awhile and looking at other pictures of similar f150 engine compartments I noticed that mine is probably missing quite a bit in it. I came here for someone to help point out what is missing and my theory of why it’s missing things is that the previous owner stripped it down to its base necessities. And yes it has ran before, me and my dad pull started it about 4 years ago. If anyone can help, please reply to this thread. Thank you!
I
also provided a picture of the engine compartment of course.
