1985 barn find, Yes or Yes???
I found a 1985 barn find f150 on craigslist today! $1000, its a straight 6, 4x4 automatic trans, nearly no rust on frame or bed, 74000 miles (possibly rolled over but he's not sure). Im going to check it out tomorrow, hope it doesn't get sold
One problem is the guy thinks the carb needs rebuilt because it runs better when its cold than warm. What do you guys think it is, the carb? Anything specific I should check for tomorrow?

Are you looking for a project truck or a off road truck? That is about the condition my 1984 F-150 Lariat XLT 2wd AOD 302V8 5.0 truck was in. Hood and roof rusted, bed and frame in good condition. Tranny shifts great, engine runs like a top after basic tune up including a timing chain change...
Check the butterfly valve for ***** and giggles. From what I understand about carbs that valve not opening could cause poor running conditions on a warm day although not to say it couldn't be a dozen other things.

Well it's been a couple days, sorry I'm really late but it sold that same night. It's ok, I'll find another but I decided I wasn't going to buy a truck at 9 at night in the dark lol
