1984 question
Hey guys I have a 1984 XLT, it has the full guage set except for the tach.
I found a cluster with the tach at the salvage. It is in an '86 Lariate.
Can I put this in my '84? Has anybody done this? How hard would it be?

Hey Cary, I tried something similar to this a few years ago. I had an 85 F150 base model part truck, and an 82 F250 I was rebuilding. The gauge cluster from the F150 did not work in the 82. I later learned that swapping between same model years woulda been ok, but there was a gauge redesign somewhere in between. All I can tell you for sure is that it's not hard at all to pull it out and give it a try. HOpe this helps.
