1980 4x4 problems

I just went to pick up an '80 F150 351 4x4. All was good until I put it into 4x4. Both drive shafts move but no power to the front tires. Truck is for mudding and is $500. What could it be?

Did you lock the hubs?

What type of hubs are on it, if manual with locked and not broken you might have a broken spider gears, or ring and pinion.
