1978 steering column
I recently acquired a 1978 f150 xlt. It has an automatic. It's been sitting for at least 6 years in a field. I've gotten it running, but in need of a steering column. I live in Arkansas and they are hard to come by. And must be made of gold seeing as what they want for them. And all are several hundred miles away. And the owners not really up front on the condition. Does anyone know of anywhere I can find a decent salvaged one?
What makes you think you need another column?
I have never seen one I could not repair and fix
Parts however are pretty hard to find (they made multiple variations of the shift collar and tube)
Same with the lower bushings
That said, if I were you, I would grab a service manual and try to fix it

Not to mention bushings all appear to be shot. If it was as simple as bushings it would have been repaired already.
